Other Committee Discussion
- J. Koehler made a suggestion in regards to teachers at the
Ninth Grade Center giving TEA release practice test to students so
they will be better familiarized with TAKS reading.
- L. Pickett had concerns regarding teachers replying to parent
e-mails and voice mail, because some parents have complained about
not getting a response from teachers after they have reached out to
their child's teacher via e-mail and/or voice mail. Suggestions
where made that teachers should check their Barracuda Spam
Firewall which could have inadvertently sent parent's
e-mails to a filtered list.
- D. Alexander said she would be glad to go over the process to
help teachers set up their voicemail or e-mail. Ms. Alexander has
place a pink flier in each teacher box title Communication
Help for those who may have questions or concerns in this
area.
- S. Dykhuis commented that last weeks fire drill was conducted
at a good time of the day.
- Barry Baker said there were some Jr. Class Officers who had
concerns regarding the cafeteria food and the cleanliness of the
girl's rest room throughout the school. Ms. Mariani said she would
look into their concerns.
V.
Closure: Ms. Mariani asked committee members to go over the
next two sections of the CIP (Campus Improvement Plan) and to
include any suggestions during our next meeting.
